About Hepatitis C Virus (HCV):

Over 5 million people in the United States are infected with the hepatitis C virus (HCV). Baby boomers (those born between 1945-1965) and persons with mental health and substance use disorders face an increased risk for infection, yet many are unaware of their status. Mid-America ATTC is part of HCV Current, a national ATTC Regional Center initiative to increase the knowledge and capacity of medical and behavioral health professionals to treat persons with HCV. HCV Current offers online and in-person training, downloadable provider tools, and region-specific resources. To learn more about the national initiative, visit http://www.attcnetwork.org/projects/HCV_Home.aspx.

May is Hepatitis Awareness Month!

Help raise awareness of hepatitis during the month of May! Mid-America ATTC's 2018 Hepatitis Awareness Month (May) Info Sheet and Bulletin Insert focuses on dual epidemics of the opoid crisis and hepatitis C virus (HCV). It also provides answers to frequently asked questions about HCV. Although the document was initially designed for the faith community, it is appropriate as an educational flyer for much broader audiences, including community health centers, treatment agencies, social service agencies, and other groups.
