Products: National Registry of Blending Product Trainers
Purpose of Registry
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), through its Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) Network, have jointly created a National Registry of Blending Product Trainers.
The NIDA/SAMHSA National Registry of Blending Product Trainers provides a list of professionals who have successfully completed a Blending Product Training of Trainers (TOT) program. This Registry offers this information as an available service to the general public, as well as to employees and employers in the addiction field.
Duration of Registration
Registration is effective for two years and subject to defined requirements as identified below.
- Successful completion of a Blending Product Training of Trainers program sponsored by NIDA/SAMHSA or an ATTC (as evidenced by a TOT awarded certificate)
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience working in addiction
- A minimum of 2 years experience in teaching and/or training addictions content
- Demonstrated efficacy in delivering educational content evidenced by satisfactory participant evaluations (2 different trainings in the past 18 months)
- Willingness to be observed and evaluated by ATTC quality assurance staff or SAMHSA designee while training on any Blending Product
- Satisfactory demonstration of adult learning styles, content knowledge and classroom management as evaluated by ATTC quality assurance staff or SAMHSA designee.
