Effective treatment methodologies are avaiable to the primary care practitioner as well as the option to refer for specialty care. The aim of this presentation is to help integrate treatment for opioid use disorders into primary care settings, to give the primary care practitioner new concepts for recognizing the misuse of opioid medications, and to promote greater understanding about the benefits and limitations of opioid treatment.
