ALASKA

Alaska iconAkeela, Inc.
The Akeela Training Institute provides NAADAC and Alaska Commission for Behavioral Health Certification-approved training designed to promote the development of highly ethical, culturally sensitive, and competent behavioral health staff.

Alaska Training Cooperative (AKTC)
The AKTC is a collaborative effort from the University of Alaska, the Mental Health Trust Authority, and Trust Beneficiary providers statewide. It is a web-based catalog of both face-to-face and distance training (online) opportunities in Alaska.

Regional Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor Training (RADACT)
RADACT coordinates and deliver on-site training, as well as correspondence classes and a 3-week training academy.

Washington state iconBuprenorphine Waiver Trainings - WA DOH
Schedule of the Washington State Department of Health’s 4-hour in-person trainings for providers seeking a buprenorphine waiver for prescribing.

Cascadia Training

Northwest iconChemical Dependency Training Consortium of the Northwest

North America IconBehavioral Tech: A Linehan Institute Training Company
Founded by Marsha Linehand, PhD, ABPP, the developer of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Offers nationwide in-person and online training on DBT for mental/behavioral health providers.

Mental Health First Aid
Nationwide in-person training on mental health first aid, as well as training for those interested in becoming MHFA trainers themselves.

Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT)
MINT is a professional organization of independent MI trainers.

NAADAC: The Association for Addiction Professionals
Calendar of national trainings and conferences curated by NAADAC.

National/International Professional/Provider Conferences
National and international conferences relevant to researchers and providers in the mental/behavioral health and substance use disorders fields. Curated by the CTN Dissemination Library at the UW Alcohol & Drug Abuse Institute.

Prevention Research Institute
Training for professionals in both prevention and treatment of substance use disorders, with a focus on motivational interviewing, the transtheoretical model of behavioral change, and the Lifestyle Risk Reduction Model. Also offers “new instructor” training for those who want to be able to teach others their models.

Providers Clinical Support System (PCSS)
National training and clinical mentoring project developed in response to the opioid use disorder crisis. Offers online and in-person training, including free 8-hour buprenorphine waiver training for physicians and other prescribers.

Treatment Improvement Collaborative, LLC
Offers nationwide in-person and online training on DBT for mental/behavioral health providers.
 

DISTANCE/ONLINE TRAINING

Computer iconHealtheKnowledge
Free and low-cost learning, and low-cost continuing education credits, for healthcare providers. The ATTC uses this platform to host all of its online trainings.

Center for Social Innovation and Training Institute (“t3”)
Offers online (live or on-demand) training about housing and homelessness, trauma, and behavioral health and recovery, with a special focus on public health and marginalized and vulnerable populations.

Distance Learning Center for Addiction Studies (DLCAS)
Approved as a training provider by NAADAC, with CE also available from NBCC and state certification/licensure boards. Includes trainings about cultural humility, ethics, family, treatment, prevention, and more.

Evidence-Based Practice Institute, LLC (EBPI)
Online (live or on-demand) trainings in a range of evidence-based practices relevant to therapists, clinical leaders, trainers, and researchers. CE available.

Institute for Research, Education & Training in Addictions (IRETA)
IRETA offers some online courses (CE available), as well as a webinar series.

NAADAC Webinar Series
NAADAC hosts multiple webinars per month, all of which are eligible for continuing education credit (free for members, $15-35 for non-members).

Professional Development Resources, Inc.
Provider of online continuing education for healthcare professionals. Includes mental health, substance use disorders, and other related topics. Accredited by APA and NBCC.

SAMHSA Knowledge Application Program (KAP) E-Learning
KAP offers a number of online courses for behavioral health and substance use disorder providers. Courses are all accredited by NAADAC and/or NBCC and CE are available.
