Workforce Development

Mountain Plains Addiction Technology Transfer Center (Mountain Plains) serves Region 8, which includes the states of Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. The mission of the Mountain Plains ATTC is to accelerate the adoption and implementation of evidence-based practices in improving substance use disorder treatment services and recovery-oriented system of care.

The overall focus is to expand access to addiction and behavioral health training and technical assistance resources that advance awareness, knowledge, and skills of the treatment providers in the region. This includes unifying science, education, and services by increasing access to state-of-the-art resources, innovative web-based tools, and proven workforce development activities.

The Mountain Plains ATTC provides access to learning, expands knowledge of clinician practice, and advances provider proficiency, which, in turn, improves client/patient outcomes. The Mountain Plains ATTC is dedicated to improving substance use disorders treatment and recovery services through the education, training, and technical assistance of health and human service professionals.
